Letter to Residents | 3.28.2020

Dear Residents:

While we do not wish to alarm you, we did want to make you aware that conversations about the Novel Coronavirus are becoming more prominent, as more cases of the virus are being diagnosed.

We have no reason to believe that there is any instance of Coronavirus at our community or the school you attend. However, out of an abundance of caution, we thought it might be helpful to provide resources for you in case you have concerns about the spread of the disease. The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recommends taking the following precautionary measures:

  • Asking employees to stay home if they are sick, even with a common cold.
  • Cleaning amenity spaces with EPA-recommended cleaners regularly.
  • Closing all tanning bed facilities.
  • No longer serving any food or beverages in our Clubhouse.
  • Postponing resident events until further notice.
  • Ensuring all common areas have hand sanitizer available for resident and associate use.
  • Asking all associates to wash their hands via CDC guidelines throughout the day.

We also have plans ready to be implemented should our community be directly impacted by a confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis. In the meantime, would also ask that residents try to limit their interactions with employees in the office in an effort to limit the spread of germs.

Regardless of whether the university closes or move to all online instruction, we intend for our community to remain open for normal business hours, and all leases remain in effect. We will keep you informed of any changes to business hours in the future. We understand that some residents may decide to move out and continue to pay rent if the school chooses to close or move online. If you do so or are away from your apartment home for more than 14 days for any reason, please also let us know per the terms of your lease agreement and ensure you have what you need to be able to pay your rent through our online portal.

In case you believe you have been exposed to COVID-19 or traveled, we highly recommend following CDC guidelines as quickly as possible, including recommendations for washing hands, social distancing and when to see a doctor. While we respect your right to privacy, we would request that you inform the office if you are diagnosed or advised to self-quarantine.

You can find more information on COVID-19 and what you can do to help prevent the spread of the disease on the CDC’s COVID-19 website. Please know that if we learn of any confirmed cases at our community, we will share that with you immediately. If you have any questions about the procedures we have in place, please do not hesitate to reach out to me directly. Thank you.

Sincerely,

The Team at Peak Campus
