Dear Residents and Guarantors:

We share your concerns with regard to COVID-19 and the impact of school closures. Please know that we are closely following CDC guidelines to prevent the spread of illness at our communities and diligently trying to accommodate all residents as best as possible. As an off-campus apartment community that is not affiliated with the university, we remain committed to providing housing for our residents, regardless of university closure.

While we provide residents with a student-oriented living experience, we are an off-campus, private housing community and our leases are not tied to the school calendar. We understand that some residents may choose to return home while classes are not being held on campus. However, during this unprecedented pandemic we remain committed, and are contractually obligated, to providing housing for our residents, and residents continue to have the option as to when they choose to physically occupy their apartments between now and the end of their current lease term. We have residents who are choosing to stay at their apartments instead of going home and running the risk of potentially infecting their parents and grandparents who may be in a higher risk category.

In order to ensure our community continues to operate and house residents who choose to stay for the sake of their loved ones or to honor their lease agreements, we are unable to offer lease terminations and refunds. However, we will work with residents and families who are enduring financial hardship due to this unprecedented COVID-19 crisis on a case by case basis.

Our staff is working both in the office and remotely to provide continued service to you and all of our residents. We continue to be financially responsible for their pay, as well as expenses like real estate taxes, utilities, emergency maintenance and other business expenses. Although our offices remain closed to walk-in residents and visitors, we are open for business and available via phone or email to offer you support as best we can during this difficult time.

And, please remember during this state of emergency that it is a joint responsibility to keep our community safe. Please abide by local regulations limiting gatherings and avoid having guests in your apartment to respect your roommates and comply with social distancing recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control.
